The importance of investment in livestock systems will be explored during a London Climate Action Week event co-hosted by Global Dairy Platform (GDP) and ILRI at Regen House in the Covent Garden area of London.

The session, “Building Resilience Through Sustainable Livestock Systems in Emerging Economies,” will take place from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. June 23, 2026.

Speakers and attendees will discuss the effects of sustainable production-focused investment in the livestock value chain, such as environmental and biodiversity benefits that are linked to income generation and job creation, greater access to nutrient-dense food, and an enabling environment for decent and fulfilling work.

Participants from the financial, NGO and livestock communities will discuss current and potential projects and approaches that show the transformative effect of targeted investments in developed and emerging economies.
